Working with Controllers

ShowTouch can open from and save to a controller. This makes it convenient to distribute an

interface to multiple ShowTouch devices and provides an implicit backup of each design.

Open from Controller

1. Touch “Open” from the Control Panel

2. Touch “Open From Controller”

3. Enter the IP address of the controller

4. Enter the user name and password

5. Enter the name of the remote file. If you are unsure of the remote file name, touch

“Request File Names” to fill the drop-down list with the names of all Touch files found

on the controller. The request may take a minute or two, but if it takes longer, cancel the

request and check the connection settings.

6. Touch “Retrieve” to get the file from the remote server. A progress bar will display

transfer progress as data is received.

7. A message will be displayed when the transfer is complete. Press OK to load the

interface immediately.
